Hate Crimes, Extremism, and Free Speech

What do these three things have in common? Aside from the fact that they now make you a terrorist in the eyes of the government, they are all issues that define individual Liberty. Before you get twisted up, hear me out... for more, go to my new ModCon
article.

Quotes of the day:
"Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master." - George Washington.

"Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." - C.S. Lewis

"In a time of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act." - George Orwell

To sum it up: When the people in power define and redefine the meaning of words to suit themselves, beware. When those same people make and enforce the laws, beware. When their fear and insecurities dictate punishment, beware When you make those people feel threatened, you become their target.
